Ben Affleck seems to keep what is his only for himself, and apparently he treats Jennifer Garner as his property.

Namely, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner may have played best friends who became lovers in the beloved 2004 romantic comedy “13 Going on 30,” but the fellow actors can no longer be friends for one reason and one reason only, Ben Affleck’s jealousy.

On Thursday, June 26, the “Avengers” and “Shutter Island” actor appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” along with his costar Keira Knightley.

At one point of the show a fan called in and asked him if Ruffalo kept in touch with Garner. Mark simply shook his head in negative reply.

“We had a great time together, and I think we would, but then Ben [Affleck] came on the scene and that was the end of that,” Ruffalo said smiling. “I heard he doesn’t allow her to have male friends,” host Andy Cohen joked, “I made that up!”

The actor admitted he was actually really sad he hadn’t stayed in touch with Jennifer over the years after filming the movie “13 Going on 30”. Other than that, he simply shrugged and stayed silent on the matter.

“13 Going on 30” was released in 2004, the same year Garner started dating Affleck and the pair married in June 2005. They have three children together, daughters Violet (8) and Seraphina (5), and son Samuel (2).

Ruffalo has been happily married to French-American actress Sunrise Coigney since 2000. The couple has three children together, but who knows what might have happened with Ben out of the picture.
