Cameron Diaz has long been known for her famous relationships with other actors and celebrities, but lately she’s making the news for a slightly different reason. Apparently Cameron has come to believe that everybody cheats, and everybody has been or will be cheated on.

Cameron is making the rounds for her latest film, “The Other Woman,” due to hit theaters April 25. The film is about a group of women who discover they are all seeing the same married man and decide to get even.

In real life, however, Cameron doesn’t seem to care if her lover isn’t entirely faithful. Speaking with InStyle magazine, Diaz talked about finding out she’s been cheated on in past relationships. “I’m like, ‘Relax. It’s OK if you did.’ Everybody gets cheated on.”

Many men and women have issues with this sort of thought process because of the emotional pain and hardships that can come from those sorts of actions. Cameron feels that men and women are just not wired to live faithfully in matrimonial bliss forever and ever.

Explaining further, the actress said, “I don’t know if anyone is really naturally monogamous,” she said. “We all have the same instincts as animals. But we live in a society where it’s been ingrained in us to do these things.”

Cameron equates the idea of having multiple lovers to the idea of having multiple friends with different interests. When you’re interested in doing something, you can call the friend who also enjoys that activity. It’s the same idea in romantic relationships, she claims.

“For some reason, we get into relationships and we expect one man to understand ‘all’ the parts of us and meet all of those needs. I think that’s where everything fails,” she said.

When asked by UK’s Mirror about whether she herself would have multiple lovers, Cameron responded, “Why not? Why would that be so bad?”
