Jenny McCarthy & Donnie Wahlberg Getting Married at Applebee’s?

Hollywood is home of the strange and in no place is that strange more magnified than when two B-List actors try to make a grab for the spotlight. This time it was notorious Anti-Vaxxer, Jenny McCarthy, and the least popular Wahlberg, Donnie grabbing for attention by potentially joking about getting married in an Applebees!

Jenny McCarthy made headlines when she used her time clout from “The View” to poke fun at the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wedding. The talk show host said, to the Boston Herald, that the Kimye wedding was so over the top it made her want to “get married at an Applebees.” Her tongue was obviously firmly in her cheek, but the popular restaurant chain was listening.

Applebees was quick to seize the opportunity for some positive PR and quickly sent out an RSVP card, via Twitter, to both Jenny and her fiancee, Donnie Wahlberg. The RSVP card was made to look like a an Applebees wedding invitation. It read, “We understand the challenge of planning a wedding. The challenge of choosing the perfect View. The challenge of being the New Couple on the Block. We have a proposal.” The invite went on to give Donnie and Jenny two options in response to the question “Will you accept our hand in your love story?” The options were: 1] Have our wedding at 2] Applebees or We will consider having our wedding at Applebees.

Donnie and Jenny were quick to run with the positive press. Jenny “re-tweeted” the image and sent to it her fiancee. McCarthy jokingly asked, “Should we consider?” and then hash-tagged the image “LoveAtTheBees”. Donnie quickly replied that they should “at least check box #2” which indicated that they would consider the proposal. Donnie also used the #LoveAtTheBees tag.

While we very much doubt that the two will ever end up wed inside of an Applebees, the press for both celebrity and restaurant chain isn’t hurting anyone! Expect a whole slew of commercials and viral memes as the relationship heats up!
