One of the hottest power couples around just upped the wattage.

Both Beyonce and her hubby Jay Z each command legions of fans. But this summer, the two dynamos will plan to cross their respective musical streams to create an electrical experience with a tour of the U.S. and Canada.

So far, 16 tour dates have been announced, starting in Miami June 25 and ending in San Francisco Aug. 5.

CNN reports that tickets for the “On the Run” tour officially go on sale May 2 through Ticketmaster and Live Nation, and other show details will be shared on both performers’ Facebook pages.

The timing is perfect for both of them – she wrapped up her “Mrs. Carter” world tour last year, and he’s wrapping up his “Magna Carter” tour.

They have collaborated before – they sung on “Déjà Vu,” “Crazy in Love” and “Drunk on Love,” and sometimes they’re known to show up on the other person’s stage to perform a song together. They also performed together at the 2014 Grammys.

But this tour will be the first time they’ve had such an extended musical adventure together.

US Magazine said other scheduled venues for “On the Run” include Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle, Houston and Chicago.

To announce the joint tour, both of them were portrayed in a poster wearing criminal/terrorist-style ski masks. Looking like collaborators in crime also references one of Jay Z’s songs, “Part II (On the Run)” on the “Magna Carta… Holy Grail” album. Beyonce also wore a similar mask for the video of her “Superpower” song.

According to On the Red Carpet, $1 from every ticket purchased will go to the Shawn Carter Foundation, which helps children.

Based on past projects, it’s likely that more venues will be added to the tour, maybe even some smaller shows without a lot of fanfare. This has been part of at least Beyonce’s appeal – for her last album, it quietly was released last year with no advance buzz or previews at all.

Beyonce and Jay Z have been married for six years and they share a daughter, Blue Ivy.
