Why Didn’t Aaron Carter Go To Nick’s Wedding?

He said he would never get married, but there was Backstreet Boys Nick Carter, 34, finally getting hitched to his longtime girlfriend Lauren Kitt on Saturday, April 12. Carter and Kitt were wed atop a beautiful Santa Barbara bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the Bacara Resort. The pair said their vows under a stunning arch made of white and purples roses and hydrangeas.

Among the 100 guests were all of Carter’s Backstreet Boys bandmates — A. J. McLean, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell. Conspicuous in their absence, however, were Carter’s siblings, Aaron and Angel. Aaron had been performing at the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, D.C., a commitment that his rep said he had made prior to Nick scheduling his wedding date.

Although Aaron did try to make it back for his brother’s wedding, his plane was reportedly grounded in Pittsburgh due to mechanical issues. Aaron even tweeted a sad selfie from inside the airplane with the caption, “Really pissed off that I missed my brothers wedding today..i hope he doesn’t hate me..I tried to get there…I’m sorry bro @nickcarter.”

As for Angel, her whereabouts were unknown, but Nick missed her wedding in February. Instead, Nick planned his bachelor party for the same time as his sister’s wedding. Either this family has some serious communication issues or there is a family feud going on behind the scenes that no one is talking about. Poor Aaron, in the meantime, seems to be in the middle. Instead of attending Nick and Lauren’s bachelor/bachelorette weekend, he was giving away his sister at her wedding.

Interestingly enough, Nick’s wedding ceremony was being filmed for an upcoming VH1 show that will be called, “I ‘Heart’ Nick Carter.” It’s possible that whatever drama is going on with the Carter clan could be revealed in that new reality show.

After his wedding ceremony, Carter — who was the last Backstreet Boy to give up his bachelor card — tweeted, “Happiest day of my life 4-12-2014 I married my best friend and woman of my dreams. Lauren Kitt Carter honeymoon time!”
