Luckily for those fans, the Cumberbatch-Hunter duo decided to at least reveal the name of their son, who was born in June 2015.

As the reports suggest, the baby’s name is Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch.

The most popular rumors claim that this name was derived from a character Cumberbatch portrayed in a Tom Stoppard play, combined with the family middle name worn by the actor himself, as well as his father and grandfather.

The couple got married in February 2015 after 17 years of friendship and about 4 months of engagement. Sophie Hunter is a renowned theatre and opera director, while Benedict – as we all know –is both a handsome devil and a talented actor. With parents like these, young Christopher Carlton is probably looking at an acting-related future.
