Angelina Jolie Missed The ‘Unbroken’ Premiere Due To Illness

Unfortunately, Angelina Jolie had to miss “Unbroken” premier due to illness, however, her thoughtful husband, Brad Pitt, did show his support and attended the Hollywood premiere on her behalf on Monday night.

The A-list actor was accompanied by sons Maddox and Pax, daughter Shiloh, as well as his parents Bill and Jane on the red carpet. Angelina was forced to stay at home, down with chickenpox.

Video Statement

The actress, who is in this case the director of the movie, published an official report in the form of a video statement in which she addresses her fans and explains that the illness unfortunately means she will be forced to miss several promotional events for the movie.

The video entitled “A Message from Universal Pictures About Angelina Jolie,” was published by Universal Pictures and it shows Angelina with almost no makeup whatsoever, showing signs of red marks on her skin.

Itching & Missing Everyone

“I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the “Unbroken” events in the next few days,” said Angelina. “I found out last night that I have chicken pox, so I will be home itching and missing everyone.“

The actress also added that she was quite devastated with the turn of events as she was really looking forward to the premiers.

“I can’t believe it because this film means so much to me. I can’t believe it. But such is life, there it is. Send everyone my love and hope that everything goes well.”

We wish her a fast recovery and hope she will indeed soon be unbroken.
