You can’t be a proper celebrity if you don’t live with a certain dose of excess. On the other hand, there are still a few famous people who can work their way around expensive rings and events in order to propose to their loved ones in the most romantic fashion possible.

Where, When, How

There are a lot of celebrity proposal stories that sound like a fairy tale, yet no extraordinary effort was put into them. If you’re lacking ideas, here are a few that might make things easier for you.

First off, we have the holiday proposal. There aren’t many things that can put a smile on a girls face during the holidays like a nice piece of jewelry, especially if that piece is an engagement ring.

Just ask Lady Gaga, Eliza Coupe, and Sofia Vergara, who got proposed on Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day, respectively.

Next up is proposing at Disney World. This magical place can turn even the toughest of us into a small child and popping the big question while here will only add to the excitement. That was the case with Corbin Bleu and Sasha Slements.

Finally, we have the extremely public proposal. Kim and Kanye’s relationship has been anything but mellow, and so was the case with the moment of proposal. The rapper rented San Francisco’s AT&T Park for the day to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday, when the words “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!!” were blasted on the Jumbotron. Of course, they were followed by a ring with a rock the size of a fist.
