Could Hollywood’s hottest you-never-saw-them-coming couple be adopting? If you believe the reports, a new baby is on the way for Charlize Theron and Sean Penn. This unlikely couple has been going strong since first stepping out together late last year, and it seems they’ve decided to take their relationship to a whole new level.

Theron, who adopted her son Jackson from her native South Africa in 2012 when he was just 9 months old, is said to want a sibling for little Jackson so he doesn’t grow up as an only child, as she did. Penn, who parents son Hooper, 20, and daughter Dylan, 23, with ex-wife Robin Wright, doubtless already knows the value of a sibling-to-sibling bond, so perhaps his influence is showing.

The A-list actors are reportedly considering a baby from Haiti. Penn has done quite a bit of charity work in the beleaguered region since it was hit by a devastating earthquake back in 2010, so the move would make sense. Wherever the littlest Theron-Penn may come from, it appears plans are already underway to welcome to new addition into a safe and secure environment.

Numerous outlets have published recently photos of Penn’s backyard, which has been baby-proofed with a new fence around the perimeter of the posh pool. A sizeable trampoline has also been added to the property, evidence that when it comes to providing the kids with entertainment, this longtime movie star is now slouch.

If the rumors are true, this move towards joint parenthood is a big step for the couple, who were first spotted together a mere five months ago. Since whispers of their canoodling first popped up, life has been full speed ahead for the twosome, who have been spotted frolicking at the beach and walking numerous high-profile red carpets, all while putting on plenty of PDA.

Only time will tell what the stork has in store for Charlize and her oft-surly beau, but we can’t help but wonder – could wedding bells be far off?
