Kelly Rowland Marries Manager Tim Witherspoon in Costa Rica

One of Destiny’s most famous Children, Kelly Rowland, has gone ahead and put a ring on it. In a wedding ceremony that featured Beyonce and Solange Knowles in attendance, who shared quite an eventful elevator ride the night before, Kelly married her longtime boyfriend and current manager, Tim Witherspoon.

The wedding, according to sources, occurred on May 9th and was as low key as possible for a Hollywood wedding. The former Destiny’s Child singer, Kelly, had around 30 people in attendance. The wedding was said to be “quick” and “simple” with an almost “in and out” attitude about the event.

News of the ceremony leaked via Instagram, of course, when Beyonce posted a snapshot in a bridesmaid dress. The photo was succinctly captioned “Good morning” but fans were quick to put 2 and 2 together.

Kelly Rowland had previously been dating former football player Roy Williams. The two broke up in 2005 shortly before their planned wedding. Whether it was cold feet or impossible-to-change differences that canceled the first wedding, there seemed to be no obstacles in the way of this second shot.

Kelly announced her wedding this last December on the “Queen Latifah Show”. While on set she told Queen Latifah that he “put a ring on it”. She went on to admit that they have kept their relationship on the “very, very low” for years, so as to keep out of the public spotlight and all of the drama that typically comes with it.

This wedding ceremony comes right in the middle of a busy and bountiful career boost. Rowland is coming off of the release of her critically acclaimed album “Talk a Good Game” and just re-entered the studio to collaborate with Pharrell Williams. Kelly will also be heard on the “Beats of the Beautiful Game” production which is set to drop in early June for the World Cup.
