This appears to be a busy month for Justin Bieber, and we are not talking about his concerts. After several racial slurs that have surfaced recently, the famous pop star will be charged with criminal vandalism in regards to his now infamous egg throwing incident.

The 20-year-old old singer is said to have caused more than $20,000 worth of damage to his neighbour’s Calabasas property during a frenetic attack on the residence in January.

It hasn’t yet been decided if Justin will be charged with a misdemeanor or a felony, but TMZ claims the charge will be made this week.

A senior investigating officer claimed that Justin Bieber ‘deserves a felony’ for the alleged egging incident, and that Justin deserves the harshest punishment available for vandalism.

A final decision on Bieber’s fate rests with Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey and her officials.

There’s plenty of evidence Bieber did the egging. TMZ posted a video shot by the victim at the time of the attack in January, and although it is pretty dark you can clearly hear the frantic singer. And Bieber’s own surveillance video, seized in a now-famous raid, shows he was the one who did the egging.

Talk about backfiring.
