The music mogul and a huge animal lover, Simon Cowell, has promised to donate money to the Manchester Dogs‘ Home that went up in flames earlier this week, causing the horrible death of more than 60 animals.

Swift Donation

“Just read about @manchdogs. Unbelievable! Donation on its way,” the X Factor judge wrote on Twitter, when he also pledged to give the two locals, Jason Dyer and his nephew Dean Rostock, an all-inclusive paid-for holiday for their act of heroism.

Namely, the duo fearlessly broke into the building that was in flames, kicked open the kennel doors and saved about 20 pooches from their inevitable demise. Kudos for the locals.

Soon after the incident, the official fundraising page has been set up for the Manchester Dogs’ Home, which received a huge support from the public, gathering over £1.3million over the period of only three days.

Simon says – Love Thy Dog

It is no surprise that Simon reacted so quickly and generously, since he is a well-known dog-lover and a proud owner of two cute terriers named Squiddly and Diddly. In fact, he even once joked that he feared he would love his dogs more than his then unborn son Eric.

“I actually said to Lauren beforehand, ‘What if I like the dogs more than him?’  And she said, ‘You’re gonna be absolutely fine,’ and then literally within seconds of him being born, I got it,” Simon joked.
