Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got married in their home in Los Angeles Tuesday, reports say.
As was previously announced, a larger wedding will still take place on Depp’s private 45-acre island in the Bahamas, called Little Hall’s Pond Cay.
Johnny Depp, 51, and Amber Heard, 28, met on the set of “The Rum Diary” in 2011 and got engaged over the holidays less than a year later.
They revealed their romance in 2012, after Depp ended his 14-year relationship with French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis. Depp and Paradis are parents to Lily-Rose Melody Depp and John Christopher “Jack” Depp III.
Depp and Heard have been planning to get married since December 2013, and Depp confirmed their engagement by sporting an engagement ring himself.
This will be the second marriage for Depp, who divorced his first wife, Lori Anne Allison, in the late 1980s.
Johnny Depp described his new wife as “a Southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me”.
