Ryan Phillippe Opens Up About Divorce From Reese Witherspoon

During an appearance on Larry King Now, Ryan Phillippe discussed his divorce from actress Reese Witherspoon in 2007 and shared some details about their current relationship.

The 40-year-old actor noted that the marriage fell apart because “[they] got together too young.”

“I think more of the problem was age. When we got together we were so young. I think it can create issues with two people in this industry because there’s so much noise that goes along with it.”

The pair met on Reese’s 21st birthday and during their 8-year marriage from 1999-2007 they had 2 children, daughter Ava, 15, and son Deacon, 11. Ryan and Reese separated amid rumors that he cheated on Reese with Abby Cornish. Despite what may or may not have happened, Phillippe and Witherspoon are “very much” still friends.

Reese Witherspoon, 38, has been married to CAA agent Jim Toth for 4 years, and has a son Tennessee, 2, with Toth, while Phillippe also has a third child, daughter Kailani, 3, with actress Alexis Knapp.
